Temple Experience

The temple sites of the Angkor Archaeological Park contain the magnificent remains of several capital cities of the Khmer Empire. The hundreds of temples surviving until today are a spectacular testament to the scale of ambition and ingenuity of these ancient people, the most civilised society of their time. After the fall of this mighty empire, many of the temples were abandoned and reclaimed by nature, but thanks to extensive restoration efforts, it is possible to get a glimpse into this ancient civilisation.
